Best Free Valorant Trackers Compared (2026)
Every major Valorant tracker in 2026, ranked by what they actually do, what they cost you (money, install size, ads), and which one fits which player. Honest comparisons — including the one I help build.
A Note on "Free"
Every tool in this list has a free tier that's actually usable. I've avoided the "free trial" trackers that lock key features behind a subscription after 7 days — that's shareware, not a free tool. "Free" here means: you can use the tool forever without a credit card, without a subscription, and without features being paywalled.
I've also weighted ads heavily. A tool that shows ads every time you check your stats is not really free in any meaningful sense — you're paying with attention.
1. Instalock (instalock.net)
Platform: Web browser (any modern browser, any device)
Install size: 0 MB
Ads: None, ever
Best for: Players who want live in-game opponent intel without a desktop install
Full disclosure: I help build Instalock, so consider this biased. That said, the feature set is the feature set.
Instalock is the only tool on this list that's entirely web-based. You sign in with the official Riot Mobile QR flow (no password is ever entered) and from that point you get live opponent stats in agent select, a daily store checker that works without launching Valorant, full career analytics, a live party lobby view, and visibility into incognito-mode and streamer-mode players inside matches you're playing.
The trade-off: no in-game overlay. You keep Instalock on a second monitor or alt-tab to it. If you game on a single monitor and you strongly want stats overlaid on top of the Valorant window, you'll prefer a desktop app.
Free forever. No ads. No install. Try it here.
2. Tracker.gg
Platform: Web (main site) + Overwolf desktop overlay
Install size: 0 MB for web, ~200 MB for overlay
Ads: Yes, heavy
Best for: Looking up random players or browsing pro stats
Tracker.gg is the 800-pound gorilla of the Valorant stats space. They have the biggest public player database and the most historical data. If your use case is "I want to look up a random Riot ID I heard in voice chat", Tracker.gg is the fastest way to do it.
The cost is that Tracker.gg's free website is absolutely saturated with ads — both traditional banners and intrusive video pre-rolls — and the desktop overlay requires an Overwolf install. The overlay also can't see incognito-mode players, and it has no store checker.
Head-to-head: Instalock vs Tracker.gg →
3. Blitz.gg
Platform: Desktop app with in-game overlay
Install size: ~500 MB
Ads: Yes, in the sidebar
Best for: Players who want a true in-game overlay and don't mind the footprint
Blitz.gg is the other heavyweight in the Valorant-tools space. Their in-game overlay experience is genuinely polished — you see opponent stats directly on top of the Valorant window without alt-tabbing. That's a real UX advantage if you have a single monitor and you value zero context-switching.
The cost: it's a 500+ MB desktop app, it has an auto-updater that runs whenever you boot your PC, it shows ads in the sidebar of the overlay, and it uses enough RAM to notice on mid-range PCs. It also can't see incognito-mode players (no overlay can — they rely on username lookup) and its store checker requires the Riot Client to be running.
Head-to-head: Instalock vs Blitz.gg →
4. Valofessor
Platform: Desktop app with in-game overlay
Install size: ~150 MB
Ads: Minimal
Best for: Players who want a lightweight overlay without the full Blitz experience
Valofessor is the most popular "boutique" Valorant overlay — smaller team, tighter feature set, less bloat than Blitz. The core agent-select intel and in-match stats work well. It's also noticeably lighter than Blitz on install size and RAM usage.
Like every other desktop overlay, Valofessor can't show incognito-mode players, has no standalone store checker, and requires a PC install. No mobile support.
Head-to-head: Instalock vs Valofessor →
5. VALORANT Companion (Riot's Official App)
Platform: Mobile (iOS, Android)
Install size: ~100 MB
Ads: No
Best for: Reading Valorant news and managing your Riot account from your phone
Riot's official mobile companion app is worth mentioning even though it's not really a stats tracker. It does news, account management, and basic match history — but not live opponent intel, not the store checker you actually want (it shows your store but not any deeper analytics), and nothing about opponents. Treat it as the "official minimum".
How to Pick One
Here's the decision tree I'd actually recommend.
- You want zero install, mobile support, and incognito visibility → Instalock.
- You want to look up random Riot IDs → Tracker.gg.
- You want a polished in-game overlay and don't care about RAM → Blitz.gg.
- You want a lightweight overlay with less bloat → Valofessor.
- You want official, minimal, news-focused → Riot's VALORANT Companion app.
Many players use two — a desktop overlay while they play (Blitz or Valofessor) and a web-based tool for the store checker and cross-device access (Instalock). These are complementary, not competing.
What About Paid Tools?
A couple of subscription-based Valorant trackers exist (ProTracker, some Overwolf premium tiers) that promise deeper analytics. In my testing, none of them offer features the free tier of Instalock, Blitz, or Tracker.gg doesn't already cover. The paid tier's value proposition usually boils down to "fewer ads" — which you can get for free by picking a tool that's ad-free to begin with.
The TL;DR Ranking
If forced to rank them, and weighted toward "what does the average ranked Valorant player actually need":
- Instalock — best for most players. Free, web, no install, handles incognito, has the store checker.
- Blitz.gg — best if you want a desktop overlay and you have the RAM budget.
- Tracker.gg — best for public player lookup and pro-scene stats.
- Valofessor — best lightweight overlay alternative to Blitz.
- Riot Companion — best official mobile fallback, not a stats tool.
